Jimmy Kimmel at White House Correspondents Dinner: Mr. President, Salaam...

Mr. President, Salaam.

That's how Jimmy Kimmel kicked off his hilarious 25-minute speech at last night's White House Correspondents Dinner, an annual event that brings reporters together with celebrities and features a humor-based segment by both an emcee and the President himself.

You can follow this link to watch Obama lay into Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and even himself - and then you can check out the following video to see Kimmel go off on Sofia Vergara's cleavage; Obama's ears; the Kardashians; the Secret Service scandal and much more.

Enjoy!

thetimeWith a $4M investment, McCann Worldgroup has bought a 15% stake in Israeli incubator 'thetime'. This move isn't a particularly surprising considering 'thetime' was founded by Ilan Shiloah, who for the past 10 years has been chairman of McCann Erickson Israel. 'thetime' was also co-founded by angel investor, Nir Tarlovsky. Uri Weinheber, previously of Lab One, acts as the incubator's CEO.

Predictably named iPavement puts hotspots into the sidewalk

Image

We know what it's like to be in a foreign country without a mobile internet connection. Although there are domestic options making it easier to connect our devices abroad, Spanish company iPavement wants to help confused tourists (and their confused devices) by seamlessly integrating hotspots into tiles -- which are seamlessly integrated into the ground. It's unclear whether users will have open access to the entire world wide web, or only controlled info about the city, but the service is at least free to use. The 24kg (53lb) tiles are slightly larger than normal, installed a maximum of 20 meters (66 feet) from one another and only work at temperatures between 10 - 45 degrees Celsius (14 - 113 degrees Fahrenheit). Touristy cloud apps like maps, coupons, and traffic updates in various languages are also a part of the deal, and you would look like less of a tourist without that huge guide to Madrid. Just lose the fanny pack and you'll be set.

iPhone remains a best-seller, despite ? and to spite ? carriers

Carriers have a love/hate relationship with the iPhone. They hate Apple's control (because they want that control for themselves) but love the money and customer-retention having the iPhone on their network brings them. Sprint's willingness to pay damn near all the money in their pockets, and delve into whatever passes for a corporate second mortgage, proves that that point. AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint sell Android because they want to. They sell iPhone because they have to.

Quirky Stem Lightning Review: Stab a Fruit and Spray its Juice [Kitchen]

Sometimes a little lime or lemon juice is the perfect way to garnish a salad, accent a piece of fish, or flavor a glass of ice water. Go to cut it, though, and you either blast citric acid in your eye or sprinkle seeds in your food. With Quirky's Stem, getting a spritz is as easy as stabbing a spike into the fruit's ripe flesh.
