After debuting the TechSling at Chicago?s TechWeek 2012 conference in late June, the technology and iPad holster is now officially for sale.
Techies, business professionals, doctors & pilots, REJOICE!
While it might seem like a modern-day pocket protector or part of a nerd?s dream Halloween costume, the TechSling is actually quite useful.
It looks like a cross between a pair of suspenders and a gun holster, but spreads the weight of your iPad, iPhone and accessories evenly across your shoulders and back like a backpack. After you get used to it, you don?t even notice that you have it on.
How many times have you put your iPad down in public, whether on a table, chair, the floor, the grass, or even on a concrete sidewalk?
If you haven?t put it down anywhere, it?s a guarantee that you?ve struggled to balance it under your armpit and might have even almost dropped it a few times.
Admit it. Either way, there?s no reason for that to happen anymore now that TechSlinger?s eCommerce site is up and running.
Yes, I was confused by the name of the product (TechSling) and company (TechSlinger) being similar, but the company is expanding its product line soon and will?presumably?carry different product names.
For anyone that?s feeling a little shy about wearing one in public, don?t be. The TechSling disappears under a sport coat, jacket, doctor?s coat or even an unbuttoned dress shirt.
